Refresh and try again. You see, I did not read the plot of this kn. I didn’ The first story was really good It still sticks with me now, and I find myself constantly still thinking about it.

What if there is a mirror and in it lives someone. Tell me you do not want to know why the hell is Lila so excited. But these two have been a little harder to figure out.

Certified BuyerIchapur. And the second story was just plain confusing! I have all her books, and Cevelia love her. Girl in the Mirror Like it! Kept me intrigued ahetn the whole story till the end. Such a short story and yet cecela paints a whole picture.

Medium cerpen mungkin cenderung kurang leluasa bagi sebagian penulis dalam mengeksplor cerita. She was just 21 then and naysayers suggested her father Bertie had more to do with her success than her writing skills. Because, once dead, they are ever alive in our memories. Moving on a few years and it is Lila’s wedding day, she drives to her grandmothers house to change into her dress and the desire to see herself in her dress overwhelms her obedience and she disobeys her grandmother and pulls off one of the black sheets covering a large mirror.

It surely tells us sumtyms it actualy d need of d hour to ask Then she transforms again into what could possibly be a victim of domestic violence, before she disappears completely. It gave me goosebump. The storyline is kinda slow, the character is interesting. I was very keen to try out Ahern’s short stories but I must say whilst I enjoyed the two stories, I was left feeling unsatisfied, not because they were badly written but because the stories were so gripping I wished they were longer!


A gorgeous new Cecelia mini-book which contains two powerful and unforgettable short stories. It tells the tale of a man who invents a machine that can create memories. And I feel like this story could’ve been longer, as well. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.

Girl in the Mirror: Two Stories : Cecelia Ahern :

Both had the typical magic of Ahern’s books, and also made me think a lot. This story does not have a happy ending like Coraline or Cecelia’s previous work however, and leads the reader to it’s rather horrifying conclusion. And both nice and quick to read whilst I can’t sleep. This is a notion that Cecelia has never explored in her books, as she always wraps her stories up well; all the characters learn an important lesson and lives are cedelia because of it, but this is not the case with Girl in the Mirror.

Girl in the Mirror ths an interesting idea, but perhaps could have been dealt with better as a full length novel.
