Ransom is a contract killer of the worst kind, who is feared, he is the strong and quiet type. You get a sense of a very bad man but I also sense a good in him.
Isla has been held captive for 20 years by Bael, who keeps a tight watch over her because of her powers of touch to see the future. Ransom works for Bael at times but sees an opportunity to rescue Blindssight to take her to the underground who are a akit that fights against people like Bael and many others, Ransom has his reasons in wanting to rescue Isla as well as giving her to the underground group.
I loved it and wouldn’t mind reading about this world of paranormal as it really takes you away to another world when your reading, Ranson and Isla chemistry was good granted you didn’t get to see much of it. I haven’t read anything by this author, I also see that there are two books already written regarding this series including Mick who the author introduces you to towards the ending of the book.
The BAD It’s was over so quickly. This was the worst and most wicked teaser, just when you want to know what will happen to Ransom because he was hurt it was over, why because we will have to wait for the full length version of of the book called Revelation.
I look forward to the series Mirus and will try to get my feet wet with the other books. Apr 07, Eric rated it it was amazing Shelves: Oh Isla, how I didn’t see you coming: The little girl that Mick couldn’t save is presented here and I was filled with excitement to see all these characters tales finely woven together. Not that I was worried it wouldn’t make sense but I was curious to see nokan it was going to work out.
Lait know this is the freebie that most people are picking up first but after reading the other two novellas and in or Oh Isla, how I didn’t see you coming: I know this is the freebie that most people are picking up first but after reading the other two novellas and in order I have to recommend you try them out. Nolan’s got a style all her own and it’s kicking ass.
Loved this teaser and cannot wait for more.
Jul 15, Jenna Scribbles rated it really liked it. I downloaded this short story as a freebie for my Kindle. It is a lead in or teaser story, but wraps up with enough closer to allow the reader to breath in a non-panicked fashion and wait.
If your file ends with Isla in the office of the bar, you do not have the updated file. Swing back to the retailer you got it from and ask the customer service to send you the most recent file.
This story is pure fantasy and p I downloaded this short story as a freebie for my Kindle. This story is pure fantasy and bby goodness. Vampires, Seers, Wraiths, Faes oh my!
The opening chapter is a kick-butt action scene. It was quite unique and I loved it. I enjoyed all the characters. The story premise is just getting under way and sounds like loads of fun.
Ransom and Isla make a perfect sexy couple. Sparks are flying already and I am looking forward to the actual fireworks. Kait Nolan has a wonderful knack of writing movement and action.
I have no idea how she can give the reader such tingles nloan simple words like: I can image that reading an entire novel written by Nolan would be great fun. Blindsight is a nice sample of this storyline and these characters.
I look forward to reading Revelation once it is released. Oct 03, Stuart Aken rated it liked it. This is a short from the author’s ‘Mirus’ paranormal series. I haven’t read any of the other books and used this as a taster. As a story, it works quite well. For me, there are too many elements. It has werewolves, vampires, dragons, goblins, seers, assassins and warriors and blindsighh set in a world that appears both contemporary and imagined. I admit I found it a little too much.
However, the story carries well and there is enough intriguing action to tempt the reader on. The characters are well drawn This is a short from the author’s ‘Mirus’ paranormal series.
The characters are well drawn in the main. Pacing noaln handled admirably. And I suspect there is an element of romance hidden in there somewhere.
That’s something that will be more apparent to readers of the genre, but there were flags that signalled romance was a possibility. I am undecided about whether I’ll read more from this source.

I suspect it depends whether I can find time and whether I discover other books with more content I prefer. But, for lovers of the genre, I imagine this will be a kati series to sample. Mar 19, Vicki Keire rated it it was amazing. I’m not usually a fan of short stories, but Nolan’s a master of the craft.
If you’re a fan of her Mirus stories, you can’t miss this enchanting little bite of that world.
Not bblindsight does it feature Nolan’s lean, descriptive prose, it manages to both tie together loose ends even as it expands her Mirus world’s horizons in multiple exciting ways. Absolutely worth it and an exciting taste of things to come, I hope! Oh, and can I just say I love the cover?
Oct 31, S. Archer rated it it was amazing. This is the first story from Kait Nolan that I’ve read and I went online and bought 2 more immediately. She’s one of those writer that I’ll buy her entire backlist now that I’ve discovered her, and for me that is rare. In Blindsight we meet Isle, who is psychic and has been abducted and forced to work for a rather unsavory villain. The hero is Random gotta love that name!
There is a lot of action and really skillful characterization in this story, which is a sign of a talented author when you consider how short the story is. I highly recommend checking out Kait Nolan’s series and Blindsight.
I read this book as part of a read-a-thon fundraiser for At The Crossroads, an outreach program rescuing runaway and homeless teens from the streets in San Francisco. You can check out or sponsor my read-a-thon here. Mar 15, Wanda Hartzenberg rated it it was blidsight. I am not the world’s largest fan of short stories; Blincsight find them particularly hard to review since very little growth character wise is ever brought into play.
This is not true for this book. More even than character development I find I love the world the author has created and fluffed out sufficiently for the readers sake to seem foreign enough and familiar still. What I liked most about the book is the fact that the author said enough to make me wish it was not a short story but rather the begi I am not the world’s largest fan of short stories; I find them particularly hard to review since very little growth character wise kiat ever brought into play.
What I liked most about the book is the fact that the author said enough to make me wish it was not a short story but rather the beginning of a full novel. I am sure to be looking for the next two books in this series since I really enjoyed reading this short story.
I am ,ait most of you will agree once you read the story. I am so bummed that this ended where it did! I wanted to read more and find-out if Ransom will be okay and what happens with Isla. A fantastic short story with a frustratingly abrupt ending- You’ve been warned.
May 24, Mhairi Simpson rated it it was amazing. Just wrote something which I had to delete because it’s a spoiler. And it was a really cool way to illustrate the fact that Kait reinforces her characters’ paranormal attributes in a modern, believable way.
